I'm trying to get the hang of posting often but it's harder than I thought it would be. Especially when I am like 7/8 of the way through my first year of teaching.
But I have been cooking! A lot actually! Just not measuring, writing down recipes, or taking pictures of my food. Oh well. I should probably be perfecting those recipes before putting them on here anyway. Also, I gave up cheese for Lent sooo... that was rough. I went through a serious cheese detox that was a lot harder than I thought it would be. There was a week or two when I had the strangest cravings, like my body was deficient in the salty, fatty, dairy that it was accustomed to, or something like that.
Here's some future food! Last time I posted future food I ended up making 3 of the recipes. Good job me (high-five's myself). Lately I've been craving fresh things, probably due to the longer days and warmer weather. It just so happens that these recipes are cheeseless because I have walked through the valley of the shadow of death and I came out the other side free from cheese cravings. I have shaken off the string-cheese chains that held me down. I have survived withdrawal symptoms and am no longer beholden to that delicious dairy devil. Wait, what did I just say?

Someday I hope I can take pictures as nice as these ones! In the mean time you have to deal with the crap that comes from my i-phone. Wait, did you hear that?! There is something in my fridge trying to get out. I think it's... it's... a block of merlot flavored cheese. Oh lord, deliver me from this evi... eh nevermind. Come to momma.
